Tour of America - Stage 13
roturn
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0018.jpg

Another sprinter opportunity or a stage win for Haller? So far Kraftwerk kind of dominated the sprints with one exception. Today is the next chance for riders such as Ulanowski, Bennett, Stepniak, Young, Bogdanovics etc.
The legs are getting tired, in especially for those needing to help their GC riders and recovery is key as well late in the 2nd week.

5 riders in the break including pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/gct.png Kangangi to make it another stage win?

The early KoM`s are fought but shared in the end. Kangangi making a small move inside the top10 but no huge changes there.

Already inside the last 10km as nothing spectacular happened. The sprinter teams reduced the gap step by step and now are within 30s when Kangangi goes for a late solo attack.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0042.jpg

3km and he still has a small gap but the sprint trains are formed and pace will raise soon.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0054.jpg

Plucinski prepared the sprint for Steniak but soon it`s Venturini/Cohen, who came up on the right side with Stepniak now moving over for a stronger leadout.

Behind Von Hoff and Young keep contact with his wheel while Kraftwerk is a bit mixed up with Denz now on the right side and Kiserlovski finishing his turn. Park right now still ahead of Haller with Ranneries, Bogdanovics and Vaquera behind.

Glanbia struggling today as they have 4 riders in an excellent position but no sign of Bennett today!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0063.jpg

Kangangi just got caught with 1,5km to go and now it`s the final riders with Cohen and Park in the lead.
Von Hoff, Young, Ranneries and Bogdanovics still well places as well while Vaquera is not able to follow and won`t be in the mix.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0069.jpg

900m and Von Hoff goes into the lead, which actually might be good for Stepniak, who is leaving Cohen`s wheel but not yet in full wind, same for Young behind.

Haller has to go into the wind already while next to Ranneries and Bogdanovics it`s King now going for the sprint himself as Bennett is still far off.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0072.jpg

Stepniak can`t follow Von Hoff and neither Young looks able to. The others are a bit ahead with 600m to go.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0074.jpg

While Von Hoff though doesn`t have the energy for a long sprint, Haller still going strong.

Bogdanovics, Ranneries and King still follow while Young is the fastest right now. Apparently he was earlier just surprised by Stepniak slowing down but still able to go faster.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0077.jpg

He even goes through a small gap and now into the lead!

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C1/ToA/mg20_toa_13_PCM0079.jpg

And takes the stage. Great comeback by Desigual here with Young winning a bit surprisingly. Though quite a gap, which shows, he was the strongest.

Maybe he was able to save the energy, others has to spend when chasing on tougher stages?

Haller still with a good result as 2nd ahead of Bogdanovics, Ranneries and King. Decent performances by all those really and good for Glanbia to still score a bit without their main sprinter active.

Von Hoff, Stepniak next with Bennett actually in 10th behind Park and Cohen and ahead of Martinelli, who just like Ulanowski didn`t have a good performance here.
