Welcome to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Philadelphia International Championship cycling classic. We have beautiful weather today in these parts of the US, as the riders take on the streets of Philadelphia. Don't ask me how many laps or how many times the riders traverse some of these roads, because it's quite confusing. But we're hoping for some great racing today. Let's begin!
Quaade and Van den Berg kick off the proceeding as they launch an early attack to get in the breakaway.
Tesfom, Misbah and Mugisha are the next riders that break free, as they use the small hill as a launchpad.
The peloton seem content to leave these 5 riders up the road. No further attacks have come.
The 5 riders eventually join together. They've quickly established a 3 minute gap over the peloton.
We fast forward and we see the peloton being lead primarily by the riders of Trans, BNZ, Guave's and Centovalli. The gap to the breakaway is  4'15'', 156 km of the race remaining.
The escapees are climbing one of the toughest hills now, it's only a few 100 m, but it does go up to 7%. We believe the riders will face this section a couple more times.
We have another look in the peloton now with 118 km to go. Los Pollos and Nordica have joined in the chase as the gap has now fallen below 3 minutes.
We see the breakaway on another small rise up that will sap some energy from the riders. 100 km to go now, 2'28'' is the gap.
We see the peloton now on this steep section and many of the favourites are already inching closer to the front as the race starts picking up. 72 km left, the breakaway are 2'08'' ahead.
39 km to go and we see the peloton is right on the heels of the breakaway. The gap is under a minute now.
We have a split in the peloton now off one of the smaller hills!. Te Brake, Sbaragli, Pelucchi, Krieger, Lobato del Valle and Ranneries are the riders that have missed this first split.
It all comes back together, but we have another split here. This one should also come back together as the gap is minimal.
It does come back together, but we see the riders of BNZ, Guave's and Centovalli really pushing the pace here. 26 km to go.
The breakaway is now caught with 16 km to go, thanks mostly to the work of BNZ and Guave's over the last few kms.
This is the final real rise of the road with 10 km to go. Guave's are in control and it's a hard enough pace to prevent attacks for now.
The peloton looks to have gotten through the hill all in one piece heading into the final 6 km. Guave's still with a huge presence at the front. Most of the sprinters also here with Keough, Reinhardt and Krieger a few of those slightly further back.
We now have Katrasnik attacking in the last 5 km! He is followed by Quispe, Ignatiev, Mundle and Kuznetsov.
It was a good effort, but the others were alert and ready so the move never had a chance. 3 km to go now.
Modolo has now hit the front with Salleh super aero in his butt following. Then Guillen and Coutinho with a bike length gap to everyone else.
Modolo still leading the charge with 2 km to go. A raft of sprinters and rouleurs following with Kragh Andersen and Reinhardt occupying the last two spots.
Modolo finally releases Salleh under the flamme rouge.

Salleh is still in front with 500 m to go. Guillen on the left and Kragh Andersen on the right are his closest competitors right now.
200 m to go and it looks Kragh Andersen might just be in front now, but he also has a fast Carsi and Ranneries besides him.
It's very tight, but Kragh Andersen is first on the line! Great sprint from the Dane and his manager will finally be happy with this performance!
Guillen takes 2nd, it's going to be a happy camp at Los Pollos as well you can imagine. The final podium spot goes to Salleh who just ran out of gas in the end, but there was some good work from his team today.
Carsi finishes 4th, Coutinho in 5th, perhaps not fully utilising Guave's numbers, but still a solid result. Ranneries is 6th, Krieger 7th, Lavoine 8th, Wippert 9th and closing the top 10 is Pelucchi.
