Well until now I only hosted this game on PPDB, CYA and a more smaller forum but since the ppl over there aren't really doing anything I decided to post it here as well, you know you all missed the Giro game but that's not horrible;)
GT GAME 07
As the title says it's a game that will be focused on the 3 Big Tours, for each tour you must pick a squad of 12 riders and see whether your team has what it takes to win a tour, in the end there will also be a combined classification to see who did best in all 3 together. As you all know the Tour is coming up and since the startlist is out there I've made up the following system:
Categories:
Leader x2 (double points) -> Alexandre Vinokourov, Alejandro Valverde, Cadel Evans, Denis Menchov or someone else (if you think the winner of the tdf is neither of these guys you can take anyone else that you want)
Sprinter -> Thor Hushovd, Daniele Benatti, Tom Boonen, Oscar Freire, Robbie McEwen
Main Climber/Helper -> Christophe Moreau, Andreas Kloden, Vladimir Karpets, Carlos Sastre, Alberto Contador
Main Climber/Helper2 -> Levi Leipheimer, Yaroslav Popovych, Andrey Kasheckin, Oscar Pereiro, Michael Rasmussen
Protected Rider -> Frank Schleck, Kim Kirchen, Filippo Pozzato, Thomas Dekker, Igor Anton

Please PM your team so that no one will copy :wink:
1 IMPORTANT RULE, YOU CAN ONLY TAKE 1 RIDER PER TEAM! SO THINK WISELY ABOUT WHO YOU ARE TAKING! (So you cant take menchov and Freire cos they are both rabobank!;)
And you may not take riders in the FREE CT. that have been named in the earlier given categories.
And…make sure you have 12 riders :P
So the only thing you need then is a name for your team and that's it :wink:

But if you would have had more sprinters back then you could have definately ended in the top 5 Alex

haha, I can agree on that one
yeah, why I had Hushovd as my top sprinter goes beyond me, I would have had about 500 points more with Petacchi........ at least I have more sprinters this time.....most of them are going to suck though |

Just one as it cant be two as that would make 13 riders. The x2 means that their points are doubled.

Also there is a extra team which I made but which also isn't really my team, it's the B Squad made up of riders who aren't picked at all or who are picked the least in their category
