Stage 4 and another chance for the sprinters to contest a stage victory and battle it out for the points jersey. Let's see how the fastmen have recovered after yesterday's mountain stage. There are two intermediate sprints this stage and we have seen those be highly contested before. Let's get the stage underway!

We fast forward for 20 something km's and we are at the intermediate sprint. No fight for it amongst the breakaway. They are working well together and have a 3'22'' gap now, 109 km to go still.

The gap has remained pretty constant over the last 20 km, now at 2'18'', as we see the breakaway take the points at the other intermediate sprint.

21 km to go the riders are on a finishing circuit now and we see more team chasing now with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/gct.png Gjensidige, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/cen.png Centovalli, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/car.png Carrefour and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/sva.png Strava adding their firepower. 56'' is the advantage of the breakaway.

10 km to go now, the breakaway still has a gap of 37''. Lots of team chasing with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/bsb.png Bralirwa doing the bulk of the work. But on the whole it's not a very organised chase. The circuit is not overly technical, but probably gives the break a tiny advantage and to be honest there are some strong riders there.

4 km to go now and the gap has barely fallen, now at 31''. Everyone is relying on pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Micros/bsb.png Bralirwa right now and they're doing their best, but they don't have a bunch of strong flat riders, so this just isn't working. The breakaway might go all the way.
