Hello everyone, First post on this forum.
I want to make a custom team in career mode, id already did It the past with other game edition but im struggling with some issues.
I would like to make an italian team but with a international roster. A young continental team with a focus on climbing with no superstrong riders just to have the pleasure to start from scratch and lead the team to success.
1) how many riders should i take from 10 to 18
2) how many leaders? And how much strong? My last two try the sponsor said i didnt have any riders noticeable
3) what caracteristic should have my other riders? How many climbers, sprinter, ecc...
4) i tried two times this morning and the sponsor objective seems to work very strange, like for example the sponsor most important objective was to have top 10 on Italian itt champ and i havent a single itt italian rider on my roster, in fact i had only one average/good chinese chronoman...if I understand It well It seems depending on the uniform you choose, but there is no possibility ti know before what ask for what, apart to have the majority of riders from the country this jersey was originaly from...but then It ask also 2 other nationality ti be represented
I hope to have explained myself and thanks you all
Yes, sponsor goals depend on the country of your sponsor and can't be changed. But you don't have to worry much about them, if you get other good results the sponsor will be happy. Wanted rider nationalities depends on the sponsor. I have D'Amico and they only want (50%) Italians. Aagain, it's no problem if you get good results.
Your "noticeable" is the reputation of a rider, a young good rider is unknown and has to get good results for a higher reputation. You could find an older rider with a name you know well, who had good results in the past, but is quite weak and cheap now to make your sponsor happy.
Number fo riders: Whatever you want. The fewer riders and the lower the wages the smaller your initial budget. And the longer it will take to build a good team because the budget can only rise by a percentage each year (as you can see in the sponsor menu).
Leaders, sprinters, etc: Again, up to you. You can start with a small team without a captain (or even sprinter or climber) and only rely on breakaways in hilly races. One climber should be enough at first (few races with mountains, but for Italians Sicily, Adriatica and Tour of the Alps can all be sponsor goals), a sprinter is always useful, maybe even two.
It's possible to do well whatever you choose, it's just a question of how many seasons it will take to become a great team that wins the big races.
