Rider fitness

Hi, what effects rider fitness? Too many races or not enough? Objectives set through year? Or injuries.

I'd simply say training - well, and racing, racing is the same as +++ training (but only on the race day, so one 1-day race in a rest week is 14% (1/7), while a week of +++ training is 100%). If you train/race too much you build up tiredness which has negative effects which you could compare to a lower fitness level, though it works a bit differently. Check the Planner page, fiddle around with the training and see how the fitness level (and tiredness) changes.

Thanks ripley, is the planner a big deal then, as i let AI set it, i do put in objectives for each rider but never do anything with the planner.

If you're happy with that, leave it alone. Smile There is definitely room to optimise, but it can drive you crazy. It's (too) easy for a Pro Cyclist career, where you only plan your rider, you can have him in great fitness all season long. But in career mode I sometimes find myself checking all 30 riders, even taking notes by hand who can race and who should rest, I hate it. Smile
