We're discussing an eventual Womenbase version 2008 (obviously for PCM 2008).
Is there any interest for a revamped version of the Womenbase here? We are open for discussion on its features, and are currently planning on keeping the male calendar to race in, since it's way more exciting.
Since the original crew has disbanded, we're also looking for enthusiasts to cooperate on this eventual project. So if you're interested, please apply in this thread. Thanks a lot
No it isn't. I like to play with realistic db's. It would maybe be funnier, but not really realistic. No stick, with the females' calendar, that's my opinion
I think the that best choice would be the male calendar. And if possible: The possibility to play with riders that doesn't look like female with other DBs. But thats probably impossible...

Eventually we can try to contact Miya if he's still around for creating the models.
On the topic of the calendar. Ok, so it isn't realistic. But using the female calendar is just not fun. PCM is not made for that calendar. Plus, it would take so much more work and time, that we don't have. We are offering you to play with the women that were in the Olympics and that will feature in the WC race this september. No one really cares for their calendar, which changes all the time (ok, so is the male calendar, but hey ), and doesn't have mountains or cobble races, making those stats almost useless.
So i'm sorry to dissapoint some players, but we can't really "stick" with that calendar. We'll have to create it, and it's pretty darn big We'll have to stick with the male calendar. Some minor races will be deleted, so it'll basically just be the pro tour calendar with some of the more famous BC/1.1-races. We know some players will love this, since it will be doable to fully play a season in a small period of time, compared to some BIG calendars that have a whole lot of races, and in which you get bored after the TdF.
Anyhow, the database won't be released before the start of 2009, given we still need people to work on the project. So plz, if you want to spend a couple of hours a week in helping the womenbase see the light, plz send a pm with your contact data.
