Have seen that there is a 2012 database in pcm 2019 in steam. Can it work in pcm 2020

Generally no, DBs for one version don't work in the next because they make changes to the table structure. I haven't looked at PCM19 to 20 but I would be surprised if that worked.

It is not that hard to convert a base db as most of the data fields that matter don't change year to year. But it would take some time and excel work.
