I thought it was time to open this thread as I've seen a beautiful talent coming 2nd at Vuelta al Tachira en Bicicleta. We should definitely add him to Man-Game.
Oh, his name? Jose freakin Alarcon |

Checked the race and apparently Daniel Muñoz finished 12th in that stage. Too bad the MG Giro is a bit harder I was already interested in cycling before joining the MG, but since joining I have developed this fetish of trying to find the most random Latin American talents for my team

Or that guy who finished 8th. He must be a young talent, I don't know him. Wait, he is 51???
edit: wait, I crosschecked with Firstcycling and PCS must've linked the wrong guy, he seems to only be 26...

Another story that hasn`t been told yet.
Jose Rujano clearly could have done better on the mountain finish I guess but apparently he was riding up alongside his son, also Jose Rujano, 2:17 behind the winner!
So there clearly is a new former MG legend`s son about to join the MG soon I guess. |

Luke Durbridge wins the first stage of the Santos Festival of Cycling. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be televised outside of Australia so we will have to wait a bit longer to see any of the new season on TV.

Richie Porte renconquered Willunga Hill at the Santos Festival of Cycling. He finished ahead a 20-year old guy named Luke Plapp.

They need to rename it Porte Peak.

Roniel Campos won his second straight Vuelta a Tachira and, apparently, will ride for Louletano this year (in Portuguese: https://www.abola...a/876255), meaning we might see him again in Volta a Portugal, hopefully in August. Santiago Umba, the new Golden Savio Boy, interesting result. |

Aurélien Paret-Peintre won GP La Marseillaise in a reduced sprint, beating Thomas Boudat and Bryan Coquard (and a bunch of other faster guys).
I'll leave the Citröen sponsorship jokes for someone else to comment this win. |

Do you mean Citron?
I watched the race in English and it was funny to hear only Citron, Citron, like an add for lemons ) ) .
I was surprised to see Paret-Peintre winning a sprint after trying a beakaway earlier, but I hope to see him more often during the season, the guy has a lot of potential, a little of everything, it seems.

Just read YellowJersey's Besseges preview, really looking forward to see how it will be with quite a lot of big names. It's on television in Belgium so I can see the finales every day, which is nice. The piece of the final hill I saw on Echelons didn't look like many riders could pass there all together, so I'm curious to see how it will turn out to be. Also interested to see in the second and third stage if Merlier doing cyclocross has given him a physical boost.

The greatest rider in the world according to trekbmc, Christophe Laporte, has won the opening stage in Besseges, ahead of Bouhanni and Pedersen (I think). |

The duel between Laporte and Bouhanni would have been nice to see.

Wellens is starting the year strong. No Challenge Mallorca, no problem. |
