Well.. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how the training system works after the latest patch. For some reason none of my riders has improved more than perhaps a couple of points in the last 2½ seasons. However, the AI riders seems to grow way to much. Pardilla on level with Contador after 2 seasons..
What I dont really understand tho, is how my riders with a potential of 8 doesn't really grow at all(Boom, Ullissi, and well, even Boasson Hagen)?
I know some riders have an early peak, and some a later one, but find it hard to believe that every rider in my team wont peak before the age of 30+.
Same happens to me except using the official database. Tried to question around a few weeks ago without much answers in the "Good Ol' Justin's Fan DB" thread. I found long lasting careers in patch 1.0.2.3 custom databases useless so far... And no, training is not the issue.
Maybe you raced them too much. 40+ races is told to destroy their potential.
Or you let them race races of the wrong category.

If you want your riders to race a lot, just make a trainingplan that excludes the top (6) level of intensity. A good combination of training and races will do the trick. I easily can ride 60 to 80 races with my riders without getting fatigue.
@Ramayogi: I think you did not understand. It is NOT good to race young riders more then 40 days. So there is no point in using another training intensity to race more then 40 days.
You can destroy young riders if you let them race to many races (it is written like this in the manual, so it is not clear how many days and how harsh the destruction would be) but I guess you should pay attention.
