I've been disappointed in the riders that the game generates ever since I've been playing this game. Some archetypes are too powerful in something they shouldn't be, others are basically useless (I'm looking at you, barodeur).

So I've been modding the files bit by bit that generate them for a good 2-3 years now. I can say that I'm happy with these, in the framework of the game at least. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this. I agree with you that the standard generation is pretty poor, which starts to break any career game long term.

Yeah, that bothered me the most. All of the riders are displaced within a couple of years by regens.
I tried to counteract that. I tried to make it so eg. climbers with 6 potential don't have 80 time trial and stamina. They get stats similar to real climbers with 6 potential, like Pinot, Chavito, Landa or Bardet.
So there's a real and realistic difference between a climber, a stage rider and a puncher. And they are only gradually displaced as the real ones get old and the regens get to the top, like it should be.

Within the main game folder there's a folder called XML. RidersCarac and Classifications are subfoders of that.
