In Pro cyclist mode I signed with a team that was UCI WT and just got a budget increase. I guess they didn't do good signings (besides me) and they dropped to 19th in rankings and relegated to Con Pro, sigh.
But ok, not end of the world because we are the #1 team in line for invitations. Yet somehow after checking off TDF on my schedule, the next day or so I got an email telling me my team did not manage to get an invitation. WTF?
How can that even be possible? They just went wit the 18 WT teams and that is it, or did they bump some French teams in front of mine (I am the reigning WC and NC in France in ITT btw directors...)
In season 3 my career is turning into a fiasco despite my results and level 18. I still have not sniffed a major tour. I keep making the best move of a not so great choice of teams to sign with, yet nothing works out.
I didn't even get a choice to sign up for the Vuelta, it didn't even appear on my schedule.
My team did get me into Paris Nice for my first WT tour, so there is that.
And my problem with not getting WT points (A technical problem from editing my first name after last season started - don't ever do that kids) went away when the new season started, and I am now getting points in Tour down under.
Not that anyone cares apparently.
This forum used to be pretty helpful. I guess this reflects the state of the game in 2020.
I guess this is combination asking wtf?, and venting.
