They are linked to another table (or were in PCM07), that held the trademark name, its abbreviation and the short team name. That table provided the data for in game - eg what abbriviation appeared after the favourites' names pre race. If you change the team name, its abbreviation and its shortname (non-capital lettered name) then yes you need to find the table and chance that one too.
