Transfer - Run out of points

Hi there,

I started signing cyclists in August for a Continental Pro team and run out of points to keep signing.

I am concerned that I only got 15 cyclists for next season. Is there a way to sign new cyclists without any points left?

If not, what about creating a youth developmental team in November and promoting a few?

I think you'll be ok with 15 riders, I never had a problem with 16 riders, that's my minimum for that division. If you're still in early August you could load a weekly save from before transfers started and try again.

I loaded a weekly save from November and tried your idea with the dev team and it seems to work, at least with riders with AVG up to 63, but not AVG 65 (didn't have anybody with 64). So that's an idea, a bit expensive for what it is, you have to pay that weak rider's wage plus 4k a month for a dev team of 8 riders. "Unfairly", it gets easier as a World Tour team, you'll find riders with AVG 70+ you won't have to spend any points on.

unfortunately you are stuck with your choice untill the 1st of november , then you can sign free agent without spending points untill 31 dec

Thank you both, very helpful.

Getting a few riders from the developmental team will help with the schedule. Perhaps the trouble will be if my team gets promoted

Has there been any update about signing free agent without spending points between 1st of November and 31 dec? It dosen't work for me.. Im stuck without any good climbers..
