Iranian National Road Race Championship Taiwanese National Road Race Championship Uzbek National Road Race Championship
Iran, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei formally) and Uzbekistan are three different nations, but there is only one race. The best finisher of each country will win their respective championship.
Starting with Iran, which has three professionals at the start: Gilanipoor, Khalilikhosroshani and Khodayari. No particular favorite on this flat course.
Feng, Hsu and Peng are the contenders from Taiwan. Hsu is the only rider who is known to find his way in sprints.
Uzbekistan only has two riders in the mix: Siddikov and Sunnatov. A fifty percent chance of winning the championship then.
Six amateurs are in the break, two from each country. They would be no match to the professionals once they picked up the pace.
Feng and Sunnatov attack with seven kilometer to go. Iberia had hired riders to lead the peloton and bring them back. If the attack is successful, only the Iranian championship would be up for grabs.
The duo leads by twenty seconds heading into the final kilometer. Hsu has opened the sprint and is much faster than the two ahead, but he doesn't have much time to gain ground. The three Iranian riders are not amongst the front positions in the sprint.
Heartbreak for Feng as Hsuan Ping Hsu sails past in the final meters and claims the win in this mixed race, and also takes away the Taipeian jersey which belonged to Feng last season. Akramjon Sunnatov does hold on compared to Siddikov to lay his hands on the Championship of Uzbekistan.
Behnam Khalilikhosroshani is the first Iranian rider to cross the line and hence wins the national jersey of that country. He also finishes fourth overall.
Iranian National Time Trial Championship Taiwanese National Time Trial Championship Uzbek National Time Trial Championship
All three Taiwanese riders are good against the clock. The Iranians and Uzbeks not so much.
Behnam Khalilikhosroshani (thank god for copy-paste) completes the Iranian double, beating nearest rival Gilanipoor by 26 seconds.
The fastest rider from Uzbekistan is five seconds faster than the fastest rider from Iran. Dilmurdjon Siddikov takes this one by 1'39 over Sunnatov.
The Taiwanese Championship is very close, with the riders being within seconds of each other at the checkpoints. However, Yuan Tan Peng was ahead at all of them, and wins the national and overall championship in 1h07'30. Feng is second at three seconds, Hsu third at six seconds.
