Algerian National Road Race Championship Barbadian National Road Race Championship Chilean National Road Race Championship Tunisian National Road Race Championship
A mixed African-American championship in the context of cultural exchange. Algeria, Chile and Tunisia fly to the Caribbean island of Barbados for nice weather and a flat championship.
Starting with the biggest nation, Algeria, which has four riders at the start. Lagab is the best sprinter but can be surprised by Belmokhtar, Hamza or Reguigui.
For the host country Barbados, the manager of Podium Ambition can decide who wins as Matthews and Vanderpool ride for the same team.
Mansilla is much faster than Burmann and is favored to take the Chilean title, especially in absence of the Azteca riders.
Ben Nasser and Khederi go head-to-head to figure out who is the best cyclist from Tunisia.
With the professionals, some amateurs from all these countries participate as well. A few got to know each other quite well in the break, but the time for cultural exchange is over and the battle for the jerseys begins.
Hamza, Burmann and Belmoktar attack with five kilometer to go, knowing they will lose in the sprint. Their attempt proved to be futile.
It looks like Mansilla versus Matthews for the overall win. Reguigui ahead of Lagab under the final kilometer for the Algerian title, Ben Nasser ahead of Khederi for the Tunisian title.
At 500 meters the Algerians seem to find a hidden gear and draw level with the contenders from Barbados and Chile. A four-way fight for the overall fight but Lagab versus Reguigui is the only important one for actual silverware. Ben Nasser with a lead over Khederi.
Azzeddine Lagab is first over the line and claims the Algerian Championship, with Reguigui finishing second but leaving with nothing. On the other hand, third place finisher Luis Miguel Mansilla leaves with the Chilean jersey, with fourth place and fifth place going to Hassen Ben Nasser and Darren Matthews, the new champions of Tunisia and Barbados respectively.

Four titles decided in one go, the overall title is worth nothing and only nice for the statistics.
Hassen Ben Nasser beats Khederi to the Tunisian title by half a minute. They are the slowest two of the day.
The two riders in the Chilean Championship both post a time of 1h06'50! The rules with regards to an ex aequo stipulate a coin toss will decide the championship, which is won by Wolfgang Burmann! What a bummer for Mansilla.
Fifteen seconds separate the Barbadian performers in Kristian Vanderpool's favor. No double for Matthews this season.
The Algerian competition was the least exciting. Faycal Hamza prolongs his title by 1'25 over Lagab, and is also the fastest overall in 1h03'24.
