Luxembourgish National Road Race Championship
EA Vesuvio protested by withdrawing their riders as this mountain race is not held on Mount Vesuvius. It leaves three duos (Adastra, Carrefour, ENI) lined up for the championship of Luxembourg. From these, Petelin is the best climber.
An amateur by the name of Fake Rider attacked on the first climb. At the foot of the final six-kilometer climb he still leads by 25 seconds. All professionals except Losch are in the chasing group.
Fake is passed at 3.5 kilometer from the top. A local rider receiving a Carrefour jersey as gift sets the pace.
Four of the professionals accelerate a bit and drop the amateurs. Surprisingly, Petelin is the one missing into the final kilometer. From inside to outside: Thill, Pons, Feiereisen and Michely.
Petelin is back with 400 meters though. Not much separating the front four either so this could still go any way.
Tom Thill is the new Champion of Luxembourg, displacing Pons who finishes second. Petelin recovers to third, he was the strongest in the final kilometer but the meters before hurt his chances. Feiereisen fourth, Michely fifth, Losch beaten by a bunch of amateurs and their grandmothers in 128th.

Two for two for Thill?
Thill overtakes Petelin and is about to overtake Pons, the two riders who started ahead of him. The podium is an exact replica of the road race, with Thill beating Pons by 2'31 and Petelin by 5'28.
The double for Tom Thill!
