Mongolian National Road Race Championship
Five professionals and 187 amateurs participate in the Mongolian Championships. Of these five pros, four ride for BNZ and one rides for SPAR, on loan from BNZ.
A breakaway of five locals leads on the penultimate climb, one of them attacking. At 40 seconds we have the group of favorites led by the local BNZ branch.
Said amateur is caught near the top by three BNZs: Erdenesuren, Altanzul (current NC) and Baterdene. Delgerbayar and Erdenebat stay in the group
Erdenesuren and Altanzul lead by 30 seconds turning on the final climb, Baterdene could not follow them. The next group has closed in to 25 seconds and can still hope for the title.
Erdenesuren tries to squeeze Altanzul off the road. Baterdene and Erdenebat start their sprint, only a local amateur and Delgerbayar are in the fray as well.
Perhaps Erdenesuren felt guilty for this move as he stops sprinting altogether and allows Maani Altanzul to defend his title! Erdenesuren just holds off Erdenebat for third with Baterdene beating Delgerbayar for fourth.
Rank Name Team Time 1 Maani Altanzul BNZ Cycling Team 1h24'28 2 Munkhtulga Erdenesuren BNZ Cycling Team + 22 3 Bilguunjargal Erdenebat BNZ Cycling Team + 29 4 Narankhuu Baterdene BNZ Cycling Team + 43 5 Sonomtseren Delgerbayar SPAR - Siam Cement s.t.

Mongolian National Time Trial Championship
Delgerbayar is the reigning champion but also the only non-BNZ clothed. We might not see pink on the podium.
Erdenebat is faster than Baterdene and Erdenesuren and is assured of at least a podium.
Altanzul is underway and he is faster than Erdenebat, 32 seconds at the second checkpoint.
Delgerbayar matches Altanzul's time at both checkpoints, they are riding the exact same pace. The smallest of things will decide this championship.
Altanzul reaches the finish in 1h06'42, 52 seconds faster than Erdenebat.
Delgerbayar finishes and there is a difference of one second in favor of...
Sonomtseren Delgerbayar, beating all his de facto teammates!
Rank Name Team Time 1 Sonomtseren Delgerbayar SPAR - Siam Cement 1h06'41 2 Maani Altanzul BNZ Cycling Team + 1 3 Bilguunjargal Erdenebat BNZ Cycling Team + 53 4 Narankhuu Baterdene BNZ Cycling Team + 4'57 5 Munkhtulga Erdenesuren BNZ Cycling Team + 5'31
