Bobridge the top favorite but we have also seen the punchy sprinters do well in other NC’s this season, so maybe Ewan will be a factor even though he doesn't make this list.
Defending champion Simon Clarke is not riding today.

Bennelong well represented on the start line today.
35km to go, 3 amateurs have a 43 second lead. The Bennelong armada seems to have things well in hand.
With 15km to go the break is shut down, 72 riders in the front group including all the professionals.
Bobridge wants to win this is in style, he attacks over the crest of the final climb before finish. He has a 14 second lead and 11k to go.
But his teammates riding for the other iterations of Bennelong aren’t interested in letting him hog the glory. With 6.5k to go his lead is just 8 seconds.
The 21 rider chase group has 43 seconds over the next rider on the road. It includes 17 Bennelong riders plus McCarthy, Haas, Ewan and Harper.
They catch Bobride and the 22 rider group turn up the final climb. The non-Bennelong riders have been shuffled backwards.
With 1km to go the riders at the front, from left to right are Phelan, Bayly, Morton, Watson, Schultz and Dennis. Bobridge well positioned just behind Bayly.
700 meters to go and Bobridge has the lead on the far left. Bayly and Dyball just behind hm. Watson next in the middle of the road.
300 meters to go for Bobridge, his lead is growing. McCarthy moving up in the middle, he wants to spoil the Bennelong party.
McCarthy moves up into second but he is running out of road. Bobridge has just 100 meters to go.
Not been a great season for Bobridge but he won’t be denied the NC jersey on this tailor-made route. Morton pips McCarthy for second. He will have to settle for denying Bennelong the podium sweep.
Welcome to the Australian National Time Trial. We have 50 professional riders. Nine of them are top time trial riders. Durbridge is the top favorite and the defending champion but he faces stiff competition.

The second rider on the course is one of our favorites, Wohler, it is raining as he sets the best time at the first check,
But not a great time for Wohler as he is quickly passed by Roe, Dyball and then O'Shea.
O'Shea also sets the best time at the 2nd check, 19 seconds ahead of Roe.
O'Shea finishes with a new best time, he has a 24 second lead.
Haig is the next serious contender at the first time check but he is 14 seconds slower than O'Shea.
o'Shea's time is looking really good as the rain has become harder. Bobridge, Hepburn and Dennis, also fall short. Hepburn is closest at 12 seconds.
The 3 favorites are next and none of them can beat his time. Durbridge, Ford and Dempster drop 8, 15 and 13 seconds, respectively.
At the second time check the pattern is holding true as well, all the riders expected to challenge O'Shea are losing more time.
Dennis loses an additional 26 seconds.
The remaining riders all lose over 20 seconds in the 2nd section except the defending champion who only loses 17 seconds. But that means he needs 25 seconds in the last section to hold his title. Another early rider Roe holds second at the 2nd check.
The rain has now stopped but not in time to help Haig, the first of the big favorites, he is 1’05 down at the finish.
The rain stopping hasn’t helped any of the late riders none are within a minute at the finish. Last man on he road is the defending champion, can he reverse the pattern? As the last rider he has benefitted the most from the end of the rain.
He comes home under grey clouds.
He finishes 39 seconds down, only good for 3rd. Bennelong have added the Australian TT title to their collection. Their strength in numbers paid off as they were able to send a strong rider off early and O'Shea delivered the win.
