The pros cross the top first, but almost all amateurs manage to follow. A group of five tried to create a breakaway but cooked themselves and are now behind the group.
Suryadi is tired of the slow pace and attacks with 20 kilometer to go. Aggressive move with two climbs remaining.
A chasing group of four is catching up on the final climb: Wahyudi, Novardianto, Manulang and Setiawa. The rest of the group is at more than two minutes.
Suryadi attacks again and reintroduces the gap, Wahyudi, Novardianto and Manulang at 20 seconds with Setiawa seeing the distance growing.
But the bird had flown. Dadi Suryadi is the strongest today and takes a deserved win! Wahyudi beats Manulang for third with Novardianto a few seconds behind. Setiawa a distant fifth.
Despite the mountainous road race, the time trial is flat like a pancake.
Novardianto is good on the prologues but 54.1 kilometer is something else. He does have the fastest time so far (1h07'23) with two riders coming after him.
Setiawa is already 10 seconds faster after 20 kilometer, and proceeds to beat him by 28 seconds.
But Manulang is from another planet compared to them. 1h04'29 is the winning time, which is 2'26 faster than Setiawa.
The champion prolongs his reign: Robin Manulang is unbeatable.
