Hi

Does anyone know how to give a rider (e.g Ricco) a really long injury in career mode, to mimic a drugs ban?

Hi,

Well, in theory, it's possible, yes. However, let's say that you make a new sort of injury (let's call it 'doping injury'Wink, all riders may get it whenever they get injured. You can of course remove the injury from the riders again with the editor, but wouldn't it be easier to just remove him? Or if you want him to return after two years, put him on a national team with the editor, give him a two year contract at that team.

There's several ways to avoid dopers in the game Wink

Oh yeah, I hadn't thought about national teams etc.

I was thinking along the lines of giving the rider a normal injury, but just with a really long return date, but i dont know if you can do that... Wink

If i just delete the line with the cyclist on in hannes converter, will it mess anything up at all?

It might mess it up, make sure you make a backuo before hand, and that you delete the dopers from DYN_cyclist and DYN_contract_cyclistWink

You can give a rider a normal injury. You can also make a new kind of injury. But as said, other riders may end up getting this injury when they crash on stages.

Anyway, the injuries are located in STA_injury. You can change the duration of the injury in gene_f_min_duration and gene_f_max_duration. Both values are days, so just set it to whatever you want (e.g. 730).
Next, you need to give the injury to Ricco which is done in DYN_injury.

I'm not 100 % into it, and the above isn't a complete guide, but it should get you started. Let me know if you need more details.

also, just an addition to Crue's guide. You must put the injuryID (found in STA_injury) into DYN_cyclist-->fkIDinjury
