It`s important to have that decision as soon as possible, best this week!
I have made this poll here but please make your decision only if you basically know how PCM19 and PCM18 behave and not just for no reason at all.
PCM 2018 has it`s issues, yes, PCM 2019 most likely will have as well (as will every version basically have it`s advantages and disadvantages).
Stage wise PCM 2018 stages apparently are directly usuable for PCM 2019, so this shouldn`t be any issue for you.
The poll is not necessarily the result what to use and it might be extended afterwards, e.g. if clear reasons are coming in for one or the other game.
But it should be a very good indicator what managers think works best for the game.
By a look of it, staying with PCM 2018 is the outcome.
It would also mean some changes to reduce the issues we experienced this season such as :
- stage design. In especially H/M ratio, which worked a lot different than thought but can be fixed with changing the stage design making it clearer when a pure puncheur is supposed to do well over a climber and still opening gaps different to PCM 15 on too easy looking stages.
- stage design. For sprinter stages. Wider roads in the finish. Less corners. Should lead to leadouts being a bit stronger.
- stage design. Cobbles work better than in past. So no need to have only 5* cobbles. Can vary a bit more.
- stage design. Time trials. Less corners on short TTs. Making it less random.
- other than that I am going to go through the OVL/RD/Wage stuff and will try to get a balance closer to PCM18 than PCM15. e.g. Riders that underperformed for years in PCM15 but now are doing great in PCM18 are going to be looked at and the other way around as well.
This can mean OVL/RD change in the formulas, it also can mean different amount of wage asked. And with now a year done on PCM18, this obviously automatically changes transfer fees on the market for other types of riders.
IMO, we don't need to upgrade every year, but we need to set a standard so there isn't a fuss when it is time to upgrade, everyone will be expecting the change, and know to be ready for it. I think we should look to upgrade every 3 or 4 MG seasons.
We should also only use a version of the game that has been out for at least a year (or close to it) and has received needed patches and upgrades from the devs. Ensuring the game is stable, and team owners are able to understand the mechanics of how it works.
