Intro:
Noah Takaima was born 8th of May 2001, from a Japanese mother and Danish farther, he grew up in the Copenhagen area in Denmarl. His parents divorced when he was 6 years old and the shared is childhood between them, living on very too many addresses.
Noah was a popular and clever child at school, but an introverted boy using a lot of time playing computers games, he became quite a great CSGO player and sometimes played on semi-pro teams as a stand in.
At the age of 16 he got a top bike from a relative, and it turned out he was also a fine cyclist, although far from a super talent.
Potential: 1

This is a community type of story, input from the readers will determine as many decisions Noah takes as possible.
The basic structure will be that the money he can collect from salary, result bonuses, or quests will be used to add to his potential.
Total Earnings to rank up:
Potential 2: 20.000
Potential 3: 50.000
Potential 4: 150.000
Potential 5: 350.000
Potential 6: 800.000
Potential 7: 2.0 M
Earnings from races:
Any participating team mate gets 4% of the race income.
The rest of the income will be shared proportional to the CQ Ranking points scored in the race by the riders. In case of no CQ points but income from race, it will be split as : 20-15-11-7-3-2-1-0 (riders ranking GC) and some small points from Stage ect.
Besides those there will be a lot of quests during the story that can add or subtract from his total earnings or directly change his skills.
Even though this looks like a single player story, it will be played as a team campaign. difficult level extreme , crash ratio 0.7, but also that may change from quests. Will use a lot of automated (exept Noah) only interfering in the most critical moments (sprints, last climb). In case a a tie on votes (or in worst case no vote) 1 is always default)
Before we can start racing, we have to select one of the contracts offers he has received:
The first offer came from Team ColoQuick, located in Herning if Noah choses this offer he can stay with his mother most days and will be able to take out the full 2500£ monthly salary as earnings, the team want a fighter flat type riders, the flat terrain in the area will hurt his climbing though.
Earnings: 2500£ - sign on bonus 4500£
Skill change
FL: +2
TT: +2
COP +1
ACC +1
MO -1
HI – 1
ST - 1
The 2nd offer came from BHS – PL Bornholm, moving to Bornholm he will have to rent a small flat, but he has found and elderly lady with a spare room and it will only cost him 300£ a month, Bornholm is more undulated than most area’s in Denmark and will be helpful if he want to develop in a puncher direction.
Earnings: 2200£ - sign on bonus 3800£
Skill change
HI +2
ACC +2
MO +1
RE +1
COB -1
RC -1
FIG -1
The 3rd offer came from Norwegian Team Coop, financial not a good offer as the living cost is high in Norway and he has to rent a flat, but the sign-on bonus quite good.
With a lot harder terrain in Norway the training might suit a climber/puncher type well.
Earnings: 1700£ - sign on bonus 6300£
Skill change
HI +2
MO +2
RE +1
ST +1
COB -1
TT -1
FL -1
Please pick a team for him to sign:
1, 2 or 3

1 is the best offer to me. Only -1 hill isn't bad, and the money is much better, meaning he can advance sooner.

True and we might go in a cobbled classic or sprinter/TT direction, his is young and open minded at this point in time

Going to go with option 2. Financially maybe the worst option in terms of base salary, but I think going in the puncheur direction gives him the best chance to increase his race earnings percentages at this early stage in his career with decent stage results and maybe KoM wins. Also, no matter which direction he ultimately goes as a rider type, that acceleration stat worries me, so boost that as much as possible. And story wise, eventhough his childhood maybe wasn't the most stable, I think a move from home to foster independence might be a good thing. Plus, let's find out what that elderly lady has in store
To echo valverde, nice to see another story from you!

Yeah, I love those stories
I'll go for option 1, too. Good earnings, and I just like TTers Or let's make him a Cancellara-type of rider, that'd be cool, too!

Thanks,
NB: Actually not bad looking that lady, but we don't what to have the story "dig too deep" into it.

After some considerations Noah decides to become a part of Team ColoQuick, with his limited result in amateur races the team will only sign a one-year deal, but as they say if he can deliver some results, they will off course extend it.

Editorial note, option 1 is default and will be chosen if we at some point get a vote tie, or in worst case a no vote situation.

After a few days just riding some easy fitness routes, the team manager wants to chat:
Christian Andersen: As I see it there is basically few options we can chose for you, If I was you I would chose to become a fighter, then we will give you a free role in the spring season and we will send you to these races where you can attempt to prove yourself.
Noah…..øøh
Christian Andersen: Well it is not the only option, you may have some potential to become a useful Time Trialist if you work hard, we can send you to these races, but expect to work as a teammate in Normandie and only get a free role in Istarsko Proljeće.
2-4= 11
Noah: Yes but…..
Christian Andersen, now somewhat annoyed with the teenager: well there is another two options for you either we can train you to become a Sprinter, but as Nicolai will be our main focus you will be acting as lead-out rider only, no chances that you can go for your own results in these races
Or we can attempt to develop you into a cobblestone rider , you might actually have some good potential to ride hilly cobbled races if you work hard enough, if you chose that direction, you will be allowed a free role for now, but I can only offer you few race days in the early season. So what do you say?
1: Fighter (+2 BAR) 12 race days
2: Time Trialist (+2 TTR) 11 race days
3: Sprinter (+2 ACC) 10 race days
4: Northern Classics (+1 COB, +1 MON) 9 race days

Hey, this seems interesting!
I say go for the first option, or is it that impossible to win from breaks in PCM20? I'd love to see him get some wind in his face though. |

I'd still love to see him go the COB/TT way, so I'll go with 4.
