Pro Cyclist - Teammate control

I'm playing in pro cyclist mode, for a long time, and there is always this mistake, I have been playing with it anyway but it's annoying.

Sometimes the game gives you 2 support teammates that you can control, and sometimes it happens that you can only control the one in front of the other, if rider X is more in front in the peloton than rider Y, you control rider X, in other stage or other race it can be the opposite, you can only control the rider behind and if they pass each other the rider you control keeps changing and it's impossible to control.

It just happened to me, that I had 3 teammates to control, but I only could control the 2 more at the back of the peloton, so if I want them to increase the pace of peloton it's impossible because they keep changing and I can't control the one more in the front. It's the first time this happens in this way.

There are some solutions like putting one of them in effort 0 so they drop but they can come back.

Anyone knows the solution to this problem?

It keep happens to me. I'm playing with PCM Daily DB. Would love to know a solution for this annoying issue.
