How do you select roles for every race?

i know you can select whether a rider is a leader, the sprinter or a free element for one the three of the riders objectives throughout the year. but how do you do it for every single race because i find it annoying when the game picks the rider with the worse stats as the leader or sprinter, i know it doesn't really make a difference and i can just ignore what it says and just use anyone as my 'leader' but id like to know if there's a away to select the roles for every single race?
