Stage 4 promises to shake up the GC, with it being a 34.6km TTT. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/vvg.png Valio, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/yor.png cycleYorkshire and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/emo.png ENI - MOL are the favourites on paper, but with a climb in the middle of the course who knows what will actually happen.

First to complete the course are pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/kaz.png KazMunay Gas. 19’45 through the first checkpoint, 35’16 through the second and across the line in 48’28.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/ros.png Rostrum Initiative are the next team through. They’re 3 seconds up at the first checkpoint and 14 up at the second, eventually taking a new provisional lead in a time of 48’15.

Yet their spell in the hot seat is short lived, as pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/wcc.png World Cycling Centre cross the line soon after. They’re up 15 seconds at the first check, but only 6 seconds at the second, before extending their advantage to 13 seconds over the line - a time of 48’02.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/eue.png Euskaltel don’t start brilliantly and are +6 at the first checkpoint. They pull out a 12 second advantage at the second checkpoint though, and take the provisional lead in a time of 47’52 - 9 seconds ahead of WCC.

Indeed, they are almost caught by a flying pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/p4e.png Popo4Ever. They go quickest so far at every checkpoint, -2 and then -31, before finishing in a time of 47’08, 44 seconds quicker than Euskaltel.

Yet their stint in the lead is short lived, as pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/sct.png Swisslion set an even more rapid time. -11 at checkpoint one, -10 at checkpoint two, and then 46’59 over the line - a 9 second lead.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2019/Micros/emo.png ENI were one of the pre-stage favourites, but will their lack of strong climbers hurt them? They’re +1 at checkpoint one, and +3 at checkpoint two, but they manage to take the lead with a strong finish in a time of 46’54, 5 seconds ahead of Swisslion.
