Hello !
I have catched the tough task to research Cycling Simulation / Manager Games.
Are there significant successful other titles than PCM & TdF ?
Any sales numbers, anyone here ?
No matter of which issue / year.
Everything helps.
Would be cool.
Ca serait formidable.

I don't know of any other cycling managers. And the only simulations are usually BMX. As for sales numbers, Steamspy says 50k to 100k.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SIR MISTER RIPLEY !
THAT HELPS ALREADY VERY MUCH !
Well, there seems to be a title under official licence of the TdF, carrying that name.
[You must be right, any other than manager-mode would not make sense...other than linking a proper bike with dyno to the game, like Zwift & Peloton] |

The game Tour de France is basically the console version of Pro Cycling Manager, by the same company (Cyanide). I have never played it, I believe there is no management, instead, you can actually push buttons on the gamepad to pedal and brake. Not sure how that really works. We have subforums every year (for example, Tour de France 2019), with very few posts. You'll have to search the web to find out more.

On top there are loads of text or 2D-based forum cycling games/minigames. You can find text based real-life simulations like f.e. the Radsim, where you manage your team and write tactics and others ride subjective reports judging tactics. Then there are other sites like cycling4freaks that have a simulation based mini-game that is more arcade but also with live management elements. Then you have loads of mini-games like the one Lachi created and described here, which is a card game.
In total you have loads of options for small size games, from in-depth forum based to arcade simulations. But of the "big" games, there is only the annual Pro Cycling Manager and the "Tour de France" console games of BigBen as far as I know.

TOP, GUYS, MERCI BIEN !
But we have no hints about sales numbers of the big 2, right ?
Zwift has >1 Million subscribers, I've read.
And Peloton ? |

cyanide can't bring pcm to console(they aren't qualified to port their game),so they made a very simplistic game with only a dozen of races, you'll get bored easily
at least now they bring in a online mode that in tdf2019 kinda failed, was buggy as hell
in tdf2019 online you basically have 2 riders, you can switch any time and controll them and from d-pad you can tell your rider(that you don't controll) to relay in the group or not relay or attack but if you weren't the host it became unresponsive meaning that your rider who you didn't controll usually remained behind loosing time for no reason
so it didn't matter that you won with 1 rider every intermediar point and race if the host had both riders with your rider, host would made more point having always 2nd and 3rd place
only good thing about online in tdf2019 was collecting cards, basically armada mode from pcm
every mode in tdf it's a basically mini-mode of modes in pcm
in tdf2019 i counted the stages and i kinda forgot the exact number but it's between 57-59 stages and under 16 races(tours+1 day races)
tdf2020 only get a new race added,so 60 stages
i don't recommend buying tdf, unless you are into collecting cards in online mode but offline boring comparing to pcm
