Hello and welcome to the queen stage of 2019â€™s Giro del Trentino. Todayâ€™s stage will see the riders climb the punishing 10km ascent of Punta Veleno after 169km. The route also features 3 more cat.2 climbs and a cat. 1 along the way.

Grand tried as well but is stuck in no-manâ€™s land

The break pushes onto the seesaw part of the stage where theyâ€™ll face 4 categorized climbs. But the difference in climbing ability is pretty clear among them and already in the first ascent we see the break completely disintegrate.

Fuchs duel each other in recurrent accelerations once more. The Malaysian takes the KoM sprint but there are still a lot of points left on offer.

The chasing teams are all quite diligently looking to capture them early in order to prepare their leaders for the task ahed.

That happens with 25km to go. Letâ€™s talk about the final climb then, shall we? Punta Veleno is a beast of some 10km of extension and an average incline of 12%, with multiple ramps between 10-15%. So, yeah, prepare yourself to feel their pain.
