Is there going to be an easier DB editor to use than Kicker...my computer has had like twenty different error's caused by kicker...back w 06 i was usin the good old PCM edit 1.3...couldnt do that much except change stats or budgets, but that was enough to keep me happy. Does anyone know if there are any easy simple db editors being made, and if so, when they will be released? |

They will probably come eventually. But it does take time to program such things, and since the game hasn't been out for very long I guess you will have to wait weeks / months. |

the problem here is understanding the database changes from last year. I have no idea how the DB works now, otherwise I'd have no problem making an editor.
No doubt this is a problem for a lot of people.
anyway, the main gripe for me with the current editor (Kicker) is with the values being encoded. having an interface that already presented them in a scale of 50-85 would make things so much easier.
of couse, making that interface isn't exactly work of a moment

yes. I know how the conversion is done.
what I meant is that looking at the tables and having to constantly look up what each value represents is both tedious and immensely inneficient, and that the main "selling point" for a prospective editor would be if it already displayed the values in the 50-85 range.

little of topic!
Something I never understood , is why the scale is from 50-85 and not 50-100 or 5-10 for ex. or at least a round no. Anybody know why?

one possible explanation might be that after you consider bonuses for equipment, weather, form, etc, they might go up to a maximum of 100. this is, of course, never shown to the player, but is used for the calculations of everything that happens.
this is just my theory.

I don't think its that, as if you give a rider stats above 85 it doesnt make much difference... |
