How to make old career use variants

Hi everyone.

I have resumed playing on a Pro Cyclist-career, which I started almost right after the game was released. Since then I have installed a lot of variants, but my old savegames doesn't seem to use them. It's using the 2007 TDF, 2016 Giro and 2016 Vuelta every season, and it frustrates me, because my rider is bad at time trialing, and there is 110 kilometer ITT in the 2007 TDF.

I know that I can change the variant that is used in STA_race -> gene_sz_currentvariant and STA_stage -> gene_sz_variant, but is there a way to make the game choose a different one each season automatically? Smile

Really hope someone knows a solution!

Hmm, it should really happen automatically, as long as you have variants in the right folder the game will choose one at random every season. So check your folder structure, maybe you left other variants in a subfolder.

Hm... Pretty sure they are installed correctly. The variants work fine in all my other savegames.

It seems to be a little to unlucky that I have had the 2007 Tour four times out of four... But I guess I'll give the game one more chance to prove me wrong.

And every other race in the savegame is the same variant season after season too... Wink
