Is it possible to do the same things with Hannes converter (as I don't have Kicker) or maybe Hannes editor (don't really know the difference between the converter and editor - please explain)?
Is it possible to add a new team, not assign any riders, sponsor goals or scheduled races and then start a new career? Will the the game run or will it crash?
Will sponsor goals and shcedueled races be automatically updated/assigned for the second season?
I'm thinkin of adding a new, blank, team and keep it blank for the first season and then fill up with scouted riders for the second one.

Will sponsor goals and shcedueled races be automatically updated/assigned for the second season? No sponsor goals and no races, you'll have to sign up for races yourself and go with no sponsor goals. It might crash upon entering the Sponsor goal window...

Surely if you start with a small team you'll want to progress and ride bigger races.
What about teams that promotes to/get relegated from the PT?
If you don't set a team to be invited to any races then that team won't be, you will have to sign them up yourself. Personally, I have never made it into the 2nd season so I'm not sure if you will get signed up for races automatically, but in theory you should.
Again I'm not sure as I have never gotten that far but I would guess if you got promoted then you would get auto-inscribed to all PT races and some smaller races
