I know that some people have asked this question before but I did not see anything that shows what to do with the extracted folder "PPDBGiant07_v1" which is in my "ProCycling Manager Saisson 2006" main folder.
What do I do with the PPDBGiant07 folder with all of its subfolders??
I saw that you can still do the PPDBGiant06 database with the 07 database. How does this happen if the files in the subfolder overwrite the existing files in the folders on PCM??
Thank you for your time. |

Here you go
1. uninstall the game,
2. manually locate the place where the game folders used to be. if there's still anything there, delete it.
3. install the game wherever you like
4. install the patch
5. open the .rar file with the PPDB Giant
6. inside it there's a folder. double click to open it
7.now there should be a bunch of folders. select ALL of them and drag them to another window where you have your PCM installation open
8. wait for it to extract. when it asks "replace yes/no", choose "yes to all"
9. have fun

Is the PPDB Giant 07 a lot better than the others?
Currently I use The GCT db which i find descent, and uninstalliung the game, installing it again and so on, seems like a lot of unecessary work, if the DB is not a lot better.
I tried using the PPDB database without re-installing PCM, but the only thing changed was some rider stats, and that Basso was in the game for Discovery, which i didn't fancy. I thought there would be a lot of extra races and continental teams, but I couldn't find any besides from the ones that is also in the GCT database... |

that's hardly a fair comparison....
PCM07 is just out. hardly anything's been released for it.

But is it necessary to re-install the game?
Can't see why it wouldn't work if I just extract it now... |

when the first patches see the day of light, PCM2 will fade away and end up like an outdated PC-game.
I can't really imagine PCM2 being popular after Christmas, even with the support from the PPDB team

reinstall. otherwise there WILL be problems with too many files, etc. not only uninstall, also after you do, manually delete anything that's left in the Cyanide folder.
