Multiple breaks formed for durations of 5-10 kilometers but all were chased down.
Martin, Rosch, Koch, Meiler and Heider attacked with 16 km to go, for the first serious attack.
Martin drops the others with 9 km remaining. Rosch has been caught by the pack.
Heider, Meiler and Koch are caught with 1.5 km left.
Martin is caught just 800 meters from the line.
Stauff leads them out of the last turn. From left to right, Degenkolb, Kupfernagel, Krieger and Ciolek in the next row.
It's between the Top 7 now with 200 meters to go. Reinhardt and Mohs have latched to the back of the quartet chasing Stauff.
Stauff still leads into the final 100 meters. The gap behind is closing rapidly. Krieger is fading though.
Degenkolb is right next to Stauff now with 500 meters to go. Reinhardt has run out of steam.
Degenkolb wins! He's just too fast for Stauff. Kupfernagel completes the podium.
German RR Champion - John Degenkolb.

Walsleben with the best time of the early exchanges, 1h11'2".
Poor day for Martin, as he clocks a time 1'47" slower and doesn't even make the podium.
Sutterlin doing much better and ends with a fast time of 1h9'39", to comfortable take the lead.
And here's Fiedler. He's 12 seconds ahead at the first time check. He improves his lead to 19 seconds and then to 27 seconds at the next two time checks. He does win and does it by 33 seconds.
German ITT Champion - Jacob Fiedler.
