BIANCHI, IL RETORNO ALLA GLORIA
2018 season has concluded but cycling never stops and now focusing in 2019 season the UCI has released the provisional list of licenses for next year. Among the new looking teams we find a familiar name. The rumour that has been around for quite a team has become a reality and Bianchi will return to the pro peloton in 2019.
Joining forces with another italian company, Campagnolo, the journey of this promising project will begin in Continental level with Alessandro Pereira as General Manager. Today we talk with him about his brand new ambition:
GDLS: Alessandro, you have been looking for sponsor for so long. How does it feel to know things are already getting started?
AP: It feels amazing. The excitement we are living this days... It cannot be told with words. Finally we reached an agreement with the guys of Bianchi and i could not be more proud. I think this is the start of something big.
GDLS: Until today, we only know the name of the team and its 2 main sponsors. Can you hint something more?
AP: Not for now. We will reveal the new project Wednesday 4, in Treviglio, Lombardy. Official Bianchi's HQ. Of course, you are all invited to the show.
GDLS: I do not know if we are going to be able to wait until wednesday! Maybe you can give us something to increase the hype and fulfill our need of information!
AP: I can say this project has me more hyped than anyone else! Bianchi and Campagnolo are putting a huge effort in the project, and the main goal is to climb our way to the Giro d'Italia, Milano-Sanremo and Giro di Lombardia. Get italian cycling talents and this big cycling brands were they deserve.

Nice to have Bianchi back in the MG peloton. Always had a weak spot for Italian teams after having one myself, so will follow your team with interest. Best of luck!

Found in 1885 by Edoardo Bianchi, the most ancient bicycle brand returns to the pro peloton. Its distinctive light blue colour, its beauty and its history makes Bianchi bikes one of the most desired models in the market. Ridden by Coppi, Pantani or Felice Gimondi, Bianchi seeks the return to the pinnacle of bike racing in a partnership with Campagnolo with the ambition of getting italian cycling back where it deserves.
Joining forces with Bianchi, another italian legendary brand. Pioneer in wheels and gearing system Campagnolo stands since 1927 among the top of cycling companies and aims high with this project.
The team will always remember and pay tribute to Felice Gimondi, who recently passed aways
Expectations for the project are high and the goal is putting italian cycling talents together to build up a solid group to race the Giro, Sanremo, Lombardia and all the other big races in the world.
More sponsors, the jersey and the staff will be revealed in the following days.

Lotto will provide the team with the racing sportswear and also casual wear.
The most famous handmaded italian cycling shoes brand will give the riders the freedom to choose from all his models:
Another italian company that joins the team. Salice will provide the helmets and glasses for the riders. Safety and style all over the team

With the transfer season coming up, the project is slowly taking shape and it is time to showcase the jersey for the first season in the pro peloton of the team:
Simply but beautiful. No need of anything else. The light blue colour from Bianchi and the main Sponsors in the horizontal lane in the chest.
Thanks to Lotto for coming up with this design and looking forward to see it in racing!
