Guide for Changing leaders in Objectives at start of season.
I did this after selecting preseason fitness form and advancing one day. When I tried to do it before it would not save and wasn’t showing up in game.
Of course close game and make a copy of your career PCM database file that you will be editing.
I used PCM fast editor, but Laichi’s editor works just as well.
Open your career PCM db file up in the editor.
Sort by team and find the rider(s) you want to change. write down their ID number – make sure it is correct.
Now open “DYN_cyclist objective” table. Sort by Idcyclist number and then go to cyclist you want to change.
First the easy part:
To switch to leader from teammate – gene b teammate box should be unchecked, and change all role boxes from 0 to 3.
The opposite for switching to teammate from leader – check gene b teammate box, and change all role boxes from 3 to 0.
Now the part that is a little tricky if you don’t understand it, and causes the game to crash when you try to load “objectives” in game, and if you only do above steps that is what will happen.
All 3 objective boxes have to be changed. Those are the 3 numerical fields that don’t have a 0 or a 3.
For a leader those numbers refer to the races that are his objectives for the 3 trimesters of the season. For a teammate they refer to the team leader he is working for. So when you don’t change them to valid numbers it causes the game to crash.
If you are changing from teammate to leader – you can just look at a nearby rider (It has to be a leader – make sure his teammate box in unchecked and he has 3 for role) and use the same race numbers. You can then change them in game after you are all done.
TO change from leader to teammate, just write down one of your remaining leaders id number and use it in all 3 boxes. Again you can change much easier one done and in game.
Anyway. I hope this helps. I couldn’t really find a good guide for this. Some even saying it can’t be done etc. or giving incomplete info.
I just did this in PCM 2018 and it worked flawlessly. I assume it will work in 2019 as well.
I hope it helps. If confused feel free to ask.
