Andorran/Belarusian/Cypriot National Championships

Andorran National Road Race Championship
Belarusian National Road Race Championship
Cypriot National Road Race Championship

Andorra, Belarus and Cyprus. Not three countries you'd expect to host their NCs together but here we are.

Andorra has five participants, all from the same team: Andorra Cycling Project. They host this event to give their riders some sort of battle.

Belarus has four participants, of which pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_0r8.png Bazhkou and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_wcc.png Koshevoy are the most notable.

Cyprus has three participants, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_fes.png Archimandritis, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_xfc.png Miltiadis and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_sct.png Thymides.

The amateur breakaway is brought back on the climb by six professionals, two from each country. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_api.png Cabanas and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_api.png Vila for Andorra, Bazhkou and Koshevoy for Belarus, Archimandritis and Thymides for Cyprus.

Three riders break away from the other three, once again perfectly split amongst countries. Cabanas, Koshevoy and Archimandritis are on their way to win their national championships.

Bazhkou tries to get back. He caught Cabanas who couldn't follow the pace of the other two, but will likely be too late to catch them.

A sprint for the fans, won by pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_fes.png Armanto Archimandritis, the new Cypriot Champion. Runner-up is the Belarusian Champion, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_wcc.png Ilia Koshevoy.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_api.png Oscar Cabanas finishes third at 43 seconds ahead of Bazhkou. Vila was closing in on the final flat part, but the Andorran Championship is his.
