Croatian National Road Race Championship


All six professional cyclists from Croatia line up for this hilly championship. There's no clear favorite so we'll be looking at an interesting race.

Ten kilometer to go and the breakaway has already been caught. All the pros are in the first ten positions, ready to attack at the hill.

Durasek manages to bridge the gap to the front two, Frankovic and Rumac can't do the same. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_sct.png Mestric in sixth position but too far away to make up places.

Just before the top Kiserlovski struggles to remain in contact. He's a few meters behind Durasek and Potocki as we head into the sprint.

And pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_gcn.png Pavel Potocki is Croatian Champion! He beats Durasek in the sprint, whereas Kiserlovski finishes third.

We should not rule out RR winner pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_gcn.png Potocki either. He's the fastest amongst the first four starters.

Kiserlovski roughly ten seconds faster between every checkpoint. 37 seconds faster at the finish line for a time of 1h10'07.

Durasek five seconds behind after the first sector and unable to recover that deficit. 23 seconds is the end verdict.

A reversal of the RR podium in the time trial, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2018/Micro/mg18_api.png Robert Kiserlovski successfully defending his jersey and Durasek runner-up again.
