Russian National Road Race Championship
The Russian sprinters can challenge for the win. Team Tinkoff has 21 riders on the startlist, but will they go for Porsev or Samolenkov? And then we have the likes of Maksimov, Korzh and Krasnov.
Korzh is a one-man team but hires some amateurs to chase. Tinkoff does nothing. Two amateurs lead by thirty seconds going into the final two laps.
We have been assuming a sprint, but Russia has some flat beast which might throw a spanner in the works. Mikhail Ignatiev attacks with seven kilometer to go, one amateur still leading by fifteen seconds.
He sails past him and leads going into the final lap. Vorobev tries the same, thus Tinkoff is not focussing on a sprint.
But Mikhail Ignatiev has amassed a big lead and can afford to celebrate between the stands. He beats the sprinters to become Russian champion!
Vorobev was caught in the final kilometers. Porsev sprints to second place ahead of Krasnov, Maksimov, Samolenkov and Korzh. They expected to sprint for the win but were surprised by a late attack.

Russian National Time Trial Championship
Mikhail Ignatiev won the road race and is a serious contender for the double, except there are other strong Russian time trialists.
Vorobev is the current NC and tried to do the same as Ignatiev yesterday, but failed. Today is a good day for redemption, as 1h07'32 is a seriously fast time.
Trofimov with the second time, but 1'23 behind.
Kovalev also falls way short, + 1'20 and only slightly ahead of Trofimov.
And here is Ignatiev. At the first checkpoint he's already ten seconds down. He nearly lost a minute today, which is still enough for second place at the moment.
If you thought Vorobev was fast, Yatsevich must have been super fast. He goes under 1h07 to finish in 1h06'45, 47 seconds faster.
Final rider is Kritskiy. His deficit at the first split is five seconds and it continually goes up through the stage. He does beat Vorobev, but concedes 27 seconds to the winner.
That winner being Kiril Yatsevich in a Tinkoff 1-2-3.
