Japanese National Road Race Championship
There are nineteen professional riders for Meiji in this race, and only six are not from Meiji. The best puncheur is from Meiji, Kinoshita, and should be the favorite for the race.
Meiji obviously responsible for chasing back the breakaway, which they did. In theory they could just appoint a winner, unlikely someone can challenge them.
Four riders break clear and their teammates block the road behind, thus effectively ruling out the competition. Hatanaka, Kuboki, Uchima and Kinoshita are allowed to battle for the win.
Two riders remain: Uchima with the white helmet and Kinoshita with the black helmet. Are they free to sprint?
Well yes, but actually no. Tomohiro Kinoshita wins the sprint with great ease, almost gifted by Uchima. Hatanaka takes third, Kuboki fourth.
Yomoto the best non-Meiji in ninth, and the only non-Meiji in the top ten.

Japanese National Time Trial Championship
Whereas the road race was a Meiji-dominated affair, they might have a serious challenge from Oba, who will challenge reigning champion Kuboki.
Oba the first of the two to start. What will be the difference at the checkpoint?
Kuboki was 29 seconds behind at the first time check, and that increases to 49 here. Still twenty kilometer to go but barring a major acceleration or implosion, Oba has the win.
Onodera best of the rest, but he would be overtaken by Oba on his way to the line.
Oba crosses the line in 1 hour, ten minutes and one second. Kuboki still has to finish but the third checkpoint looked promising.
And indeed, Kuboki lost 1'36 today, which means he has to give up his white jersey with the red dot.
Masatoshi Oba beats all the Meijis to win the Japanese Time Trial Championship!
