Hi Folks,

Sorry if this is already been asked but i have used your databases many times in the past and they are absolutely fantastic but have trouble with the 2019 database. I have followed the instructions but when i try to open a new game i am getting an error saying that i am attempting to use an incorrectly configured mod. Never had an issue before have been using your 2018 database. Can anyone break the instructions down at all or give me any help. I am using windows 10.

Many thanks in advance and i hope everyone is enjoying the Tour.

Carl

Hey Carlos. No idea what the problem could be, but I just installed the PCM DB and the 3 updates and it works fine.

You might want to try again. Do a fresh install of the game (or make sure if you are on steam that you are unsubscribed from all mods there and the files removed), and then install the Main DB and then the 3 updates in proper sequence. Make sure to follow the instruction and place the files in the right folders.

Best of luck! And yes, enjoying the tour, though I recorded the last 2 days and have not watched yet. So no spoilers!!!!

Cheers Morgan, no I won't give you any spoilers. I will go for a fresh install and see how it goes. When you extract the folder to database to the main game directory i.e. where the exe lives do you leave it there even when you have copied over the folders like CM stages GUI etc or can you delete it after? Will see I get on but thanks for coming back to me - get your feet up and enjoy.

Yeah, you just extract the folders to your main PCM 2018 folder, but the other file (officialRelease.cdb) is a little bit tricky and where you may have gotten it wrong. It needs to go in your
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2018
directory. Do it manually and not just in your documents folder from the quick menu it seems to be a different folder, or it was on mine.
If in doubt go to that folder and make sure the date of that cdb file is 6/22/2019 (for update 3).
I hope I wrote that clear enough. I just know when I extracted it to my documents/PCM 2018 folder it did not show up in the C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2018 folder, and that was the only potential problem I faced. (It needs to be the final CDB file from update 3 - that may also be why it gave you that that message, the CDB file did not match up with the version of the DB.

Hope this helps man!!! Let me know, and feel free to ask any questions. I was in the same boat - played a lot of some older versions and had a learning curve with this one.

Edit to add- Oh, also I followed the instructions with the PCM daily DB and cleared out the folder it said to, since I at first tried a Steam workshop DB that didn't work properly. SO you may need to do that as well.

For reference:
2. Clean up the folder CM_Stages in the place where you installed Pro Cycling Manager 2018, most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018. It is highly recommended to have this folder empty in order to have a bugfree experience.

2. Open the archive you downloaded. Extract the content of the folder "To Program Files" inside the directory where you installed PCM 18. Generally, that's going to be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018, but if that's not the case, the folder is always the one where you can find PCM's executable, PCM.exe. The folders "3D, CM_Stages & GUI" should now be copied into this folder. When you're asked to overwrite/merge, say yes.

3. Go to your Documents folder. Generally, that's going to be C:\Users\*YOUR_USERNAME*\Documents, but otherwise you should be able to find it yourself pretty easily. Replace the .cdb file named "OfficialRelease" in C:\Users\*YOUR_USERNAME*\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2018\Mod\Default with the .cdb file "OfficialRelease" that you downloaded.
