3 white horisontal bars during 3D race

Hi.

During 3D races (Pro cyclist), what are the 3 horisontal lines (white) to the right of the water bottle icon, and to the left of the status icon of whatever you have choosen in the race controls for your rider?

The bars are constantly changing from witch of the bares are filled (white), and i'm sadly not so sure as to what theese bars means yet, as i have not found any manuals or descriptions to guide me in regards to this... Smile Hope somebody can shed some lights to what excactly theese bars are, and how i need to take theese into consideration during races.

I've not got the new game yet but first guess would be whether you are considered to be in the front, middle or back of your current group, I'm pretty sure there was a similar 3 bar system in one of the older games indicating that at a glance.
