TTT tips?

So I always struggle with the effort in TTT stages. Not like in ITT where you can send a rider off and get a guide to it, how do you judge effort in TTT. I just lost 1min 40 on stage 2 of Le Tour.

I heard that you can take the tt note and you make minus 60 and it give you the time you can let your racer leading the team. For example if your racer have 75 you do 75-60= 15 so he can lead the group.for 15". I tied with FDJ on stage 2 tour de France, it worked quite well but I did not tried more than one time so it need to be confirmed

Time on the front is not an issue, it's more trying to find out what maximum effort to set the riders too. I try to set them around 85 for the first 5km and see how the energy bar is comparing to the distance bar, but often its too late to adjust and I finish way down the standings.

Aren´t your best time trial riders supposed to ride higher effort and longer time, while rest getting shorter splits?

Go with 99 effort for under 30km TTTs. I assume 19 is not very different from 18.

* for the record, I tried everyone on 99, and still lost over a minute haha
