i do it all the time. What I like to do is go into the DB Editor. Find a Free Agent that isnt important. Just change his name,Date of Birth, Team, Country, and all his stats. That to me is the easiest way.

It's on there. Click however you get to PCM and that pre-game menu comes up.It's just under Play.
