Little is known about the past of young Christopher Bloxham, born in Lancaster but he is determined to make the best out of his career as a cyclist. Well, not that he's a natural talent. In fact he should probably have stuck to playing village cricket but now that he made it this far, let's see where his career is going to go.
Chris is a pretty tall kid, 185cm and sports a good 70 kg during the season (if he not having too many pints during the off-season). Fairly decent going up a hill, his main strength is holding his nerves during a sprint. That got him some attention during his youth years and now at 19y, he's ready for his first (and hopefully not last) professional contract.
Canyon DHB is one of the teams making him an offer, but they already have 20 riders on their payroll. The Belgian Team Corendon-Circus also has some interest, mainly because Bloxham can hold his own on the hills and he might be suited for a support role in a few Belgian classics. But Madison Genesis, a British team with only 14 riders, seems to be the best option for him. He'll probably get some chances in the sprint there and the competition is not too harsh. Ian Bibby and Jonathan McEvoy, both also doing cyclo-cross, seem to have the most experience there.
