I am playing on career mode/simulations on normal level. I always start with some of the weakest teams in order to build up strong team and in few years to to go the elite.
Three seasons in a row i finished in Top 18 of Superprestige trophey, but couldn't qualify for the World tour teams. I suggest that the eveluation is made due to some other criteria like the quality of the team based on cyclists attributes. Do you think this is fair?
Also, when I was promoted from continental to continental pro, the difference of the budget is very small. For example I got a raise from 43 k or 44 k to 50 k. with maximum sponsor confidence after the end of the season. On the next year it was pretty much the same, the raise was 6-8 k, which is not enough to keep the improved young talents that raised their qualities in one or two seasons.
When you have strong results, it's logical that the other sponsors also would like to give you far better budget to represent them. But the raise for a new sponsor is just $1000, no matter if you didn't have strong results during the season, or you are in Top 15 at Superprestige ranks. This must be changed, so the game to become more realistic. What do you think?
This is right, promotion/relegation is heavily determined by the riders on your team (particularly the ones with the highest overall rating) and less so by team points ranking.
I think this is something that Cyanide can improve upon, because it doesn't work well in practice. I work around it by editing the stats of my top 2 or 3 riders at the end of the season to 85 right before October 25th, and then switching them back after advancing to what they were before.
If you have a lower tier of sponsor, the end of the year budget increase is only a small amount, and you can see how much it will be on the Sponsor page. The only way to have a bigger increase would be to change sponsors to one with a bigger budget max.
I've been working on getting an Italian WT tour with Baridani. I saw something somewhere that made it appear that results over three years we re taken into account for promotion.
I ended up editing Sponsors budget. There appear to be no unused Italian sponsors in the PCM DB, and Bardiani's budget isn't big enough to get me there.
I've been thinking about this for a few days. Promotion is too slow. I've done three seasons, and I think it will be two more before I can get the budget high enough to sign the riders I need to get into the World Tour, and sorry but that's getting kind of boring.
