January 1st, the night before was a blur but still i walked out the door and towards the biggest challenge of my life. The cycling team Auber 93 never really had any talent, but i've been called in to help these guys out and give them hope to get right to the top of their game. Easy, no way. But if i suceed it will be the biggest sucess of my life. Fast forward a few days and i've already signed in some new talent. But the sponsors told me, French riders only this year. I brought them round to see my point and we hired in a polish rider to help us out as well. Bad thing is i'm in salary debt.
So then, the challenge begins i suppose. Bring it on!

well as the patch came out the same day, i'll continue untill the Fusion DB now. Did this race before the patch so here we go!

I hate February, doesn't everyone. The cycling season has started, but we have the buisness of getting some races i personally don't care about out of the way. The first races was in the Marseille region.
We tried going in the break, we failed!
Agritubel didn't seem to like us out there, so they tried to reel us back in
However one caisse and one bouygues rider seemed to fall off. We never found out what happned.
At the finish a Credit Agricole rider took the victory.
But guess what, i can't say any names or who won because i was stupid and forgot to export the lists. I can say our best placed rider was 24th.
In other news we've submitted a wild card to a race we really enjoy riding. The Paris-Nice. We're waiting to hear the results of that.

As i said we'll keep on riding this now for a while.

"The cycling team Auber 93 never really had any talent".
Ok lets just look at the riders from last year alone who moved to pro tour teams. Mathieu Drujon to Caisse, Guilliame Levarlet to Francaise de Jeux, and Maxime Mederel to Credit Agricole. Year before? Benoit Vaugrenard to Francaise, and a tonne of riders to cofidis, year before, same story. Next year? My bet would be ok Gallopin finding a place. Jonathon Thire won't be in the team for long either, a good young talent. So don't go slagging off some quality talent. If i made it even to halfway of where they are i'd be happy with my achievements. B)
Now on another note, good luck for as long as the story runs. B)
As you can see mostly sprinters, a hilly rider. Our name will probally be made in Breakways as Thor Hushovd from Credit Agricole seems set to dominate the sprints.
This stage looks set to be settled in the sprint with a break getting away and not getting more than 3 minutes.
We began by sending Carlos Da Cruz up the road after 5km
The peloton didn't seem to like Da Cruz going onto the attack (mainly Caisse), so they tried bringing us back. Gallopin said he was feeling good to join Da Cruz so we sent him off too!
It didn't take long for the gap to be bridged so we had 2 'echapees'
With 15km left to go we heard over race radio 'Attack, Da Cruz'. I quickly got on team radio of course and asked him what the heck he was doing.
To that he replied 'I am going to win zeee stage' I just sat back and let him have ago. It was a shame because with 2 km to go he was brought back by a speeding Hushovd sprinting from 3km to go for some reason (he obviously felt good!)
The final top 10
Not too well for our team though
We've decuded to try for a jersey. Possibly KOM as that can be won on breakaways in this race.
