A little question for the Stats Specialists among you!!
What are realistic stat for Cyclocrossers who want to race a complete road season??
I want to add Wout Van Aert, the brothers Van Der Poel, Laurens Sweeck, Tim Merlier, Julien Taaramarcaz, Marcel Meisen, Philipp Walsleben to my existing DB but I have no idea how to rate them for stats especially like Resistance, Endurance, Flat, Hills, ...
Can you guys give some advice or post some examples from existing DB's where they're already implemented??
I'm certainly not a specialist of any kind, but I can speak from what I've seen both in databases and in real life. 'Crossers, I've noticed, seem to often have very high downhill stats, which makes sense when considering the high technical ability required for cyclocross. Aside from that, I often see any other stats set quite low, which I think could probably be worked on. In general, I'd think a 'crosser should have reasonable stats for acceleration and cobblestones, probably a bit in hills, and nothing much more noteworthy. Maybe some resistance, considering a cyclocross effort is nearly full-gas over approximately an hour, but probably nothing noteworthy in the departments of endurance (most won't be used to racing 3-5 hour road races) or recovery (most won't be used to stage races).
Again, not an expert, I don't work on databases at all except when editing for my own personal use, but this is just what seems logical to me.
