Stats drop at young age
Iguwell
Is it normal that riders can drop in stats already before they turn 26?

Is it because they maxed out their potential in this stat?

It happens.

Cyanide probably says it's intentional to reflect the fluctuation of rl performance.

I say it's annoying and revert the changes with an editor.

Just kinda weird that a superstar maxes out for 5 months before starting his decline.

So they will never rise again in that stat?

And thanks for the clarification. Thought it was a bug or something haha

I don't think it necessarily means you have hit or even exceeded the stat limit.
There was still potential left in the riders I edited, and it affects young mediocre riders just as much as maxed out superstars.

Many editions ago, rider stats and/or stat limits were negatively affected if you sent them to more than 60 race days per season, but that has since been removed and I also don't see any relation between that number and who gets some stats reduced over winter now.

Ah, I'll se if they rise again. Cheers. I guess I just never noticed it with mediocre riders.

In previous editions I didn't really ride more than 60 days due to the impact on race preparation, but good that the limit doesn't influence potential anymore.

Btw, a last side question. Is it in every database that newly generated riders do not have any favorite races?

It takes abit away from the long term experience when the game becomes full of riders without these traits. So just wondering if it DB specific or a general thing.

I use the World DB 2019 and many do have favorite races.

To be fair, I think some DB makers have voiced their opinion that it would actually be more appropriate if only riders that really do consistently overperform at a certain race should get that reflected in the game, reducing the overall number of favorite races in an entire DB to maybe a couple dozen.
I am not sure if that was implemented in any DBs though, and whether yours might be affected.
