The profile is the same as last season what can give us some indications of what to expect, we start with the shortest but also the most undulated sector of 16.1 km, last year best time was 22’05, top 5 time was 22’22
2nd sector is the longest with 20.6 km and the one that shout favour the pure tempo riders being relative flat. Last year this sector was race with a total of 45’41, top 5 time was 46’02”
The last sector slightly shorter with 19.1 km, but the combination of an early hard climb and the fact that the teams was worn out by the many km they have raced, made this sector the most time consuming last season, with a total of 1h10’07” from fastest team Generali – EDF and with that they used 24’26” on the last sector alone, top 5 time was 1h10’48”

Swisslion Cycling Team 22’24 a lot to lose this early
Minions 22’06 new best time
Sauber Petronas Racing 22’31, + 25” they just need to be faster than this.
Kulczyk – DMTEX 22’20 3rd right now a mediocre time it seems but hard to tell it this point.
Adastra - Argon 18, 22’25” tied for last
Signal Iduna 22’28” last at this point.
Starting to get the picture that Minions 22’06 is a very good time and that those times in the 22’20 region might not be that bad after all.
Newton Foundation with a more or less expected bad time 22’48 last at this point.
Then Team Reddit with 22’08” a very competitive time, 2nd with just + 2”
Andorra Project – InGamba, now passing the 2nd time check in 45’48” can only compare to last season and in that perspective again a fine time from the team. Tied with 4th last season.
cycleYorkshire 22’13”, that is 7” behind Minions an acceptable loss this early.
Swisslion Cycling Team 46’37, lost 49” to Andorra Project
Novatek-Panarmenian.net 22’34 last at the first time check.
Minions at the 2nd time check passing in 46’11, 23” behind Andorra Project, they have lost a lot of momentum on this typical tempo rider section.
Team Popo4Ever p/b Nemiroff 22’34 exactly same time as Novatek for shared 10th at first check.
Fablok – Bank BGZ with new best at the first time check 22’04 one second faster that the best time last season.
Carlsberg - Danske Bank at 1st. time check 22’16”, now 6 teams within 12” at first check, very close at the top.
Sauber Petronas Racing at 2nd check 46’10, +22 a 1” improvement in Minions
World Cycling Centre at the first time check 2nd just 1 second behind Fablok, 22’05
Kulczyk – DMTEX passes the 2nd check in 46’02, that is 2nd best at the moment +14” after Andorra
The last team starting today Generali – EDF passes the first time check in 22’04 that is a tie for first, exactly the same time as Fablok.

Andorra Project – InGamba have now passed the finish line with 1h09’27” as the 2nd best team at 2nd sector so far interesting to follow how far that may take them.
cycleYorkshire with another good 2nd sector time +12” at 45’45” the 2nd best time.
Novatek-Panarmenian.net + 42” at 46’15” 10th right now at this point
Swisslion Cycling Team full time 1h10’35 +1’08”
Team Popo4Ever p/b Nemiroff 2nd sector 46’33 losing exactly one minute to Team Reddit
Minions with full time 1h09’55 that is +28”, might look as if they have recovered some after that bad 2nd sector.
Fablok - Bank BGZ passes the 2nd time check in 45’39” just 6” behind Reddit, things getting very narrow at the top.
Sauber Petronas Racing full time 1h09’58 losong 31” to Andorra
Carlsberg - Danske Bank passes 2nd sector in 46’07 that was 34” lost to Reddit, it seems as if they struggled on this sector compared to a good first.
Kulczyk – DMTEX with full time 1h09’53 that is 2nd best at the moment 26” behind Andorra
World Cycling Centre at the 2nd sector in 46’01” that is 28” behind Reddit, also they had a much better first sector
Adastra - Argon 18 full time 1h09’58 amazingly still completely on par with Sauber Petronas sharing 4th place as it is right now.
Generali – EDF the last team to pass the 2nd sector time check, that is new best 3” faster than team Team Reddit.

Fablok - Bank BGZ full time 1h09’02 that is 2nd best 9” behind Team Reddit.
Carlsberg - Danske Bank 1h09’45, 5th with 2 teams yet to come in.
World Cycling Centre 1h09’29 beat Carlsberg for 5th, 36” behind Team Reddit
And finally Generali - EDF with just 5th best third sector time not able to beat Team Reddit, 2nd in 1h08’59
