Tour of California - Stage 7

Tour of California

Stage 7: Sacramento (ITT)

Now to the final stage, not likely to turn the GC upside down but can easily adjust it, a bad day here can be costly and then of course we will have teams with tempo specialist hoping for a stage win or at least a podium.

John Augustus Sutter took the first steps in the foundation of Sacramento, when we built his private fortification Sutter's Fort in 1840 and founding a colony he called New Helvetia. In late 1848 his son John Augustus Sutter Jr. founded Sacramento just a few miles south of his father’s original Fort.
Sutter's Fort was abandoned during the gold-rush in the late 1840’s but was reconstructed as a historical landmark in 1893.

The route is completely flat clearly favouring the time trail specialist, weather is perfect, sunny with no wind.

All times are live results, may be adjusted slightly in the final result
